  1. You didn’t miss much I can guarantee. I went to Willie’s concert in the Roundhouse 3 yrs ago, which by the way was advertised as his farewell concert! and it was as dissapointing as the one I went to 11 years ago. He’s not longer singing well nor is playing his trombon solos as you would expect. It is as if he’s become lazy and can’t be bother to make the effort so others play the big, long trombon parts and he struggles throw the demanding vocals. To top it up, he’s grumpy and arrogant on stage. At the Roundhouse he started to shsh the audience as they started to sing along to one of his songs and at some point he told people off for singing. Bring over Ruben Blades, the Pele of salsa if Willie wants to behave like Maradona. He’s quality, he still sings like in his early days, he still composes and he has chemistry with his public, he invites the public to contribute to the show. He’s an artist, a poet and a musician.
