The Barbican has confirmed that Los Van Van will not be playing at the Barbican this Sunday 28th June. Samuel Formell, percussionist, musical director & son of the founder of the band, Samuel Formell, was involved in an cooking accident and while no surgery is required a necessary period of recuperation has meant that the mighty Cuban band have had to cancel dates on their current tour. which, unfortunately, includes London.

However Cuba 50 announced that Venezuelan salsa legend Oscar d’Leon has at the last minute, agreed to step in to perform.

In their place, Oscar will be performing his ‘Canta La Musica Cubana’ repertoire for this special Cuba50 celebration, plus other hits with his full band.
