The organizers of Carnaval del pueblo has announced that the will be cancelled for this 2012.
Carnaval del Pueblo regrets to announce that it has just been informed that The London Pleasure Gardens has gone into administration and that this year’s event cannot take place at this venue.
Despite Carnaval del Pueblo seeking comfort from London Pleasure Gardens for nearly a month that the promised facilities would be ready and the site safe for the event, London Pleasure Gardens has waited until less than 3 weeks before our event to make this announcement.
This late decision is dreadful and the Carnaval del Pueblo team feels complete dismay that LPG’s actions will lead to such disappointment to our loyal supporters and stakeholders.
Last year this event was cancelled due to the renovation that was taking place at Burgess Park, park used for this event however this time is different.
Held in London since 1999, Carnaval del Pueblo has been the largest Latin American out-door festival in Europe, attracting people from diverse backgrounds in a day of Latin music, dance, food and plenty fun, they had planned a colourful and striking costumed float procession of around 20 floats, 5 Stages, 10 Hours of Festivities, showcase the music, arts and dance in representation of the rich cultural heritage from Latin American countries.
