Issac DelgadoThe Cuban salsa singer Issac Delgado presented his new musical production “Asi soy”, part of which he recorded in Puerto Rico.

“I have a great appreciation for the musicians in Puerto Rico, for their professionalism and dedication, “says the singer, who has ten records in his career.

No vale la pena” is Issac Delgado’s latest single; a composition of the brothers Ricardo and Alberto Gaitan.

“Ricardo and Alberto have worked with Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan. The are very talented; I have known them for years. They offered me four songs and we decided to go for “No vale la pena”" Issac explains.

“Asi soy” is salsa mixed with pop sounds and modern influences, wihtout leaving aside “the strength of the Afro-Cuban and latin music”. This album also includes lirisc from Sergio George, amaury Gutierrez, Jorge Luis Piloto and Yoel Heriquez, among other great composers.

Issac featured Cuban reggaeton star Eddy K (Eduardo Mora) in a fun track called “La Fiesta”. As Issac explained, Eddy K participates in the record for two main reasons:

“First of all, as a gesture of solidarity, as a Cuban who has just arrived (to the U.S.); and secondly for his musical quality. It’s one of the leading singers of reggaeton…;a  genre that has come from the street and I am from the street myself”, concludes Issac, who confirmed that he likes reggaeton when it is not offensive.
