Trained in a wide variety of dance disciplines (including jazz, tap and ballet), Susan has been teaching salsa for 10 years and has studied Cuban popular and folkloric dance forms, both in Havana and Santiago de Cuba. Renowned for her attention to detail, style and technique, she is one of the UK’s foremost teachers of authentic Cuban salsa and her extensive training enables her to help her students achieve greater fluidity in their body movement, a higher degree of musical interpretation and the ability to mix a variety of rhythms.

The man with the biggest smile in salsa can always be found at the heart of the biggest salsa nights, weekenders and congresses and will always be heard above the music calling the best la rueda there is.

Moe burst onto the dance circuit in 1998, choreographing routines for Bollywood acts such as RDB and Ruthless. He then became a regular choreographer for major entertainment events, including two acts in the 2000 MOBO awards as well as choreographing and performing with the hip-hop/dance hall queen “Blu Cantrell”. Last year, Moe performed in the MTV favourite ‘Come and Shake a Leg’ video by ‘Roll Deep’.

In 2000, Moe exploded into the salsa scene winning 1st place in the UKA British Amateur Championships within 6 months of starting to dance salsa. He then successfully competed in the professional division just two months later and went on to win the British Threesome Championship. Now focusing on his true passion, salsa and all things Latin, Moe divides his time between teaching, choreographing and performing salsa, his inimitable la rueda and animation throughout the UK and overseas.

Moe also has extensive reggaeton, hip hop, locking, bachata, cha cha cha and On2 skills which he regularly incorporates into his classes and shows.Moe’s professionalism, enthusiasm and excellence in such a wide variety of disciplines have established him as one of the best teachers around, encouraging and mentoring everyone from first time beginners to professional dancers in his inimitable “all good” style. In recognition of his unique teaching qualities, Moe received the award for the ‘Most Popular Cuban Teacher 2006, as voted by the British public in October this year, having been short-listed for number of awards throughout the year for both teaching and performing.

2006 was an incredibly busy year for Moe, beginning when he took to the stage in Bahrain to perform as a guest star for two thousand people celebrating New Year’s Eve! Alongside his demanding teaching schedule, he has starred in the sensational hit salsa musical, ‘El Barrio’ playing misunderstood bad guy “Chungo” and has also launched no less than three shows, including two with partner Angelique Sinclaire. ‘Lovers Feud’, a truly entertaining comic tribute to Fred Astaire in inimitable Moe Flex style, ‘Fuego’, a fiery Cuban salsa show and ‘Sabroso’, a spectacular two-couple la rueda with a twist are all scheduled for worldwide performances in 2007, in destinations including Barcelona, Cyprus, India, Israel and Hong Kong.

Originally from Somaliland, East Africa, Moe spent his childhood travelling the globe with his family, giving him the opportunity to experience more of the world than most at an early age. As well as influencing his unique style of dance, this is one of the factors that have contributed to his bubbly, open, larger than life and ‘always good’ personality. Amanda has taught in some of the best known salsa venues, including Salsa Palladium, La Finca, Ronnie Scott’s, Turnmills and of course El Grande in Vauxhall.

In Cuba, Leandro made his living as a professional dancer, performer and choreographer. His passion for dance began in childhood, and his dance training began when he was 8 years old. He graduated with distinction from 7 years of study with a leading Havana dance company which is renowned for it’s breadth of teaching and emphasis on the performance arts. He attained teaching qualifications after 2 more years of study and has taught and performed in all the Cuban dance forms; salsa, son, cha cha cha, rumba, afro and, of course, reggaeton.

Leandro’s warmth, sense of fun and enthusiasm for dance fills a room! From beginners’ level to advanced master classes, Leandro aims to help students grow their skills and as a result, their pleasure in dancing. And, his professional dance background means that he can incorporate many years of experience in dance steps, body movement and styling in every class, whatever the level.

In December 2000, he came to London to perform as a lead dancer in the famous West-End show Lady Salsa. Since then Lazaro has been based in London and has been dancing and teaching with his partner Paola Lopez who began her dance training of Salsa and Cuban traditional dances in 1996. Paola is an excellent dancer who possesses an outstanding and distinctive style, blending elements of Son, Rumba, and Afro-Cuban Orishas into her dancing, with passion, vitality and confidence. She is also an first-rate instructor, who focuses on teaching confidence in all the basic steps, feeling and counting the rhythm, developing a good technique and style, body movement, leading and following skills and musical interpretation. This is combined with a dedicated and patient approach, teaching an elegant and smooth style when dancing Salsa, Rumba and Afro-Cuban.

Lazaro and Paola, who are also the 2004 Tropicana Tropics World Rueda Champions, have established themselves as leading exponents of Cuban music and dance in the UK and Europe. 1st, 3rd and special prize in the first International Salsa competition in Cuba. He and his dance group “The New Generation” performed as a Group and Individually.

Following this he became a member of the judging panel on the special TV programme named “Para Bailar Casino. Which was made to show the Cuban Salsa Championship and was the first programme of its kind to be shown on International TV in 2004. This programme is still being made today and is shown on “Cuba Vision International”
