Carnival de Cuba returns after last year’s cancellation. Last year, the annual festival was cancelled. Due to the current economic climate and lack of sponsors, the promoters took the decision to postpone the event till this year rather than compromise the quality and standards of the festival.

The good news is that Carnival de Cuba is back stronger than ever with new sponsors (Cubana airlines and Cuba Direct) and a line up of events.

25th to 26th June – Carnival de Cuba @ Glastonbury Festival
Carnival de Cuba will be at Glastonbury Festival 23rd to 27th June 2010 – close to the ‘Shangri La’ area – look for the marquee with Cuban flags where you’ll find top Salsa bands, dances classes and DJs every day from 1.00pm to 3.00am – See below the line up.

July 9th – Carnival de Cuba @ Waterloo Quarter
Music series in Waterloo – live Salsa music and Cuban street food + cocktails
on Emma Conns Gardens, across from the Old Vic theatre, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm – free entry

July 16th – Carnival de Cuba @ Waterloo carnival
Live Salsa music, dance and dance workshops outside Cubana at the top end of Lower Marsh, Waterloo, from 1.00pm to 7.00pm -Cuban street food, smoothies and cocktails – free entry.
